Welcome to Thorne Ecological Institute’s online library! This is an exciting blend of natural science, technology, and literacy for partnering schools, TNSS families, and folks who are discovering the wonderful programming that we have been offering for more than 50 years!
Since 1954, Thorne has reached over 150,000 children and adults with a mission to connect kids to nature through hands-on experiences in environmental education to create Earth stewardship. This mission comes to life through outdoor learning experiences, in-school programs, field workshops, teacher training seminars, and community partnerships.
Thorne Ecological Institute received the 2004 Nonprofit of the Year Environmental Education Award for Excellence from the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE). By providing valuable educational experiences to Colorado’s youth and training for area teachers, Thorne helps students become educated in the sciences, connected to nature, and invested in conserving the world where we live.
